Masaryk Days 2023: The Responsibility of Intellectuals

No description

One of the most debated academic topics today is the issue of social responsibility. It should form the third pillar of university activity alongside teaching and research. Masaryk Days, which the University has been organizing regularly since 2020 on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Tomáše Garrigua Masaryka (7th of March 1850), this year is dedicated to two important personalities - Sir Roger Scruton and Professor Andrej B. Zubov. They represent examples of intellectuals who have resisted or defied undemocratic regimes and create role models not only for male and female academics but also for students and all those who are not indifferent to the principles of freedom, justice, and human dignity. The event will be accompanied by a concert in the atrium of the Faculty of Social Studies of MU.
